The Mount of Venus

We’ll start with the mount of Venus, as that is the easiest mount to identify. The mount of Venus is the mound at the base of the thumb that is encircled by the life line. This mount relates to love, passion, vitality, sympathy, and empathy.

This mount should be reasonably high and firm. This denotes someone who is sympathetic, affectionate, sociable, and fun to be with. He or she will possess a strong aesthetic sense, and will enjoy being inside a strong, supportive, close, loving relationship. This person will also be energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate.

The higher this mount is, the greater the degree of physical passion. Because of this, the mounts of Venus of any two people involved should be examined when determining compatibility. Obviously, a couple will have problems if one partner has a large, high mount of Venus, and the other has a flat, or even inverted, mount of Venus. Once a night would not be enough for one, whilst once a decade would be far too much for the other.

Sadly, you will see flat and inverted mounts of Venus at times. These people are likely to be lonely, as they lack compassion, love, and sympathy. They are frigid and have little or no interest in sex. They find it hard to express their innermost feelings to others. However, they frequently lead a rich, secret, inner life and often possess a strong intuitive sense.

The breadth of this mount is determined by the curve of the life line. If the life line comes well out across the palm, the person will be friendly, warm, and enthusiastic. He or she will also be generous in love.
